ChefRobot is a pretty exciting move towards the future!
I bought this knowing it truly isn’t a self cooker and not expecting a lot being closer to the first of its generation.

    Pros
If you don’t like cooking this will make it funnier
    Easy to clean
Automatic Scale and Heating are amazing
    A crap ton of recipes
    Pretty quiet
    Everything seems very durable!

    Cons
Good recipes are very hard to find on app
App is terrible and almost had to refund due to
    app literally just not working
You have got to cut everything up and cook most things separately yourself
It won’t mention ingredients on the recipe list till your on step 42 making it

All in all I think it’s a good product to get on sale. If you don’t like cooking this definitely makes it more enjoyable.

The inside of the cheap plastic carrier case was broken where you store the fork & knife. There were about four small pieces broken off. I threw the pieces out and kept the case. My former case was better quality and the knife lasted 40 or 50 years!!

I kind of wish this had a slower setting. I didn’t buy this for cutting meat. I bought this because I thought it be a faster way to trim the corn off the cob that I had grown in the garden this year. This product goes from blades not moving, to ragingly fast, and got me really concerned about cutting the fingers on the hand that was holding the corn. The handle is a little awkwardly long as well. Normally I wouldn’t mention that, but because the cord is attached to the end of the handle it makes it not move around as well as I’d prefer. The cord was also quite short. Even though the outlet is right there on the counter, I ended up using an extension cord to make the cutting easier and safer for me.

I did like how easy it is for the blades to separate and clean them. The plastic case is also quite handy to have all the parts together and is quite nice.

I bought this Hamilton Beach electric knife because I broke my right wrist and could not use that hand to stabilize the foods I was cutting. It cuts meats very well, even without stabilizing the meat with the meat fork (which is included.) Not so for vegetables -- I sawed on a head of cabbage for a good 10 minutes before I realized it wasn't my technique -- it just was not working! And that was even with someone holding the cabbage head still, which was not the way I wanted to use it anyway.

The motor does feel hot after I've been using it for four or five minutes, so I take a break while it cools down. The way the knife is designed, you can put it on the counter & the blade will remain up in the air so that it doesn't scratch or damage countertops. That also keeps the blade clean while I'm taking my break.

I really like the little storage case, which keeps all the parts and pieces together, and I also like that you can put the blades in the dishwasher. I'd like it better if it cut vegetables too, but just for meat it is still definitely worth the money!

As it says in the title, I purchased this specifically for cutting some sound proofing sheets so I could size them for some sound absorption panels I was making. It came recommended from websites and I think I read some reviews on Amazon about this device working well for that purpose also. it seemed to do a good job for others, and this particular brand had the highest ratings, so I purchased it.

Putting the tool together was very easy (be careful not to cut your hands), as was dis-assembly and clean-up. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

Ok, so I'm not entirely sure what type of sound insulation sheets others have used, but mine was a very dense material, the Roxul Rockboard 60, which are about 3" thick. I tried cutting two sheets at a time, and while it seemed to cut through them rather easily at first, about 1/2 of the way through, the knife seemed to lose some steam. Or maybe it was me. ... nope, it was definitely the knife. I was a little worried it might overheat and break (it didn't) so I stopped and then slowly started to try and cut the remainder of the sheets. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I pushed through the last half with more effort than I thought I would need to. Not sure if this is what caused the jagged cut on the last 1/2.

I think for the next sheets I cut, I'll try to do them 1 at a time since this product is so dense. I'm hoping this will make the cutting easier. In any case, what you should take away from this is that if you're cutting this type of material, please keep in mind that it may not cut through "effortlessly" on denser sheets like I'm using. It'll get the job done, but be careful not to exert too much pressure.

I would give it 5 stars if it didn't feel like it was going to break halfway through my project.
Hope this helps anyone out there that might be looking for this specific type of info. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions.

Cuts Riflecase Foam Easily - I Don't Use It For Cooking

I bought this electric knife needing to modify the case foam for a few Pelican riflecases I was waiting to customize. I was looking around for a good hotwire knife, but I decided to go primitive and don't really care if it looks PERFECT inside as long as my expensive gear and firearms are protected and seated well. I pictured my layout inside, flipped the foam inserts over and traced every item facing backwards with a sharpie. This way, the nicer side which would face up as you opened the case would not have marker lines (watch the video from Brownells).

I cut the interior for two cases, one a three piece AR-15 long-range sniper setup with upper and lower separate and the optic and QD mount separate as well. The other case has two individual AR-15's completely assembled and two magazines for each firearm cut. I was able to do the cutting myself very easily with a sharp edge tool to "start" the initial cut and working my way from the middle to the edge with the Hamilton Beach electric knife. The end result is very attractive albeit NOT perfect, but I don't need a pretty case interior....just one that looks good enough and keeps my items safe.

The only gripes I have, and the reason for the 4/5 stars are two things. 1.) The knife gets very hot after a short amount of use. Granted this is not a unit designed to cut yards and yards of foam...it's designed to cut cooked meats...so I can't fault it for that too much. The other thing is the 'cut' button is a depressed return system....so you constantly have to depress the button to keep your blades moving and it can tire your fingers quite quickly. I would have liked a button lock to keep the knives moving, but I know this is a safety precaution and it is easy to work around.

Overall great product, cut two whole cases and still works like brand new! I am happy with the purchase. Who knows, maybe I'll have some meat to cut with it sometime to really give it a good field test...

I assume but am not sure that this is the same knife as the metal finished Hamilton Beach electric knife. I was looking for the best knife under $20. The array is pretty motley but the chromed Hamilton Beach had 4 star ratings and I figure that this accounted for the 4 star as opposed to the 3 1/2 star of this one.

Having had about 4 electric knives in my life I can't say that I was in love with any of them, but this one is the best of the lot in terms of performance. Sure, a skilled conventional knife user can carve up a 20 pound turkey quickly. But someone who is not so skilled with a non-electric knife is going to be able to get that turkey ready for the table quicker with this electric knife.

One advantage which all electric knives have over sharp hand knives is that you can apply pressure to a bone with an electric knife and with a little patience slice through it. Once again, a skilled carvesman would have no need to do this but someone like me does.

I've found that if there's a single feature common to all electric knives which can make them frustrating to operate, it is the lock-out safety mechanism. My previous electric knife was maddening in that regard - it would cut-out repeatedly as my trigger finger shift position slightly. This knife has an acceptable lock-out by comparison - I found myself unimpeded in my progress when carving our Thanksgiving turkey.

Like conventional electric toothbrushes, electric carving knives suffer from a severe case of lack of 'coolness', particularly in this era of foodies and farm-to-fork nonsense, concepts mainly utilized as ostentatious shows of wealth. I think you will like this knife if you like the general concept of using electric knives but have found other models from other companies to function inefficiently. This one truly does the job, if not necessarily as elegantly as a $300 made-in-the-Black-Forest Wustof carvng set would.

I give it 4 stars, but I must confess that I'm grading on the curve here.

I just received this carving knife today, after reading numerous reviews about how hard it is to open the storage box I was curious to see what a lot of people were talking about. Upon looking at the box I observed two hinges on the back of the box and 2 release clips on the front of the box, I raised the two release clips and the box opened instantly!

I handed the box to my 5 year old Nephew, he opened it up in less then a minute! Anyone having difficulty opening this box should maybe think twice about operating an electric knife without Supervision, lol.

Whereas, I have not used the knife yet, examination of the knife revealed sharp blades, a nice carving fork, and the handle fits perfectly in my hand. I think that the people who complained about their fingers getting tired holding the trigger down were just pressing the trigger down with too much unnecessary pressure, (which of course will tire your fingers out), all that's needed is a relaxed grip on the knife and medium amount of pressure on the trigger to operate the knife. (You don't have to grip the knife like you're operating a circular saw on a piece of lumber).

I'm assuming I'll be back to rate this knife 5 Stars after I use it. By the way, the "easy open" box is very compact and fits easily into my kitchen cabinet drawer.
