The photo quality is surely improved over the Pixel 7 Pro, where I came from, especially the selfie camera. Furthermore, the build quality is hugely better. Best of all, the fingerprint sensor is finally working reliably.

Since I don't play games at all, this is the perfect phone for my needs. Just watch the deals, as the regular price is rather high.

I'll start off by saying I wasn't planning on getting this phone at all. I've never owned a pixel before. But the moment I saw the reviews coming in about this phone and it's amazing features. They got me. And the fact that the prime sale had this phone marked down even more. The universe was telling me to get this phone. So I did and I couldn't be happier.

To start they were right about the brightness of the screen. If you are out in the sun this phone will over power the suns light. If you don't have auto brightness on when you go to bed. I wish you luck for that flash bang that you are about to experience.

One thing I wish I did was get the smaller pro. I have the XL and I feel like it's too big for my hands. Like it fits and I can hold it, but I'm a fan of skinny or tiny phones. This phone fits in my pockets. But from how big it is. You will know the moment your phone goes missing.

Sounds quality is pretty good and they let you use spiral sound. And I know I've heard people complaining about the battery but I can make it through 2-3 days of use before needed to recharge. And that's without the battery saving mode. I use my phone alot but I don't play games on it very often. But when I do it doesn't get hot like my old phone would to the moment I booted up the same game. My hands would start burning.

I also love the features this phone has. The voice callinf assistance that will answer spam calls for you or strange numbers to see if they are real or spam. Let the phone make notes during your important calls so you don't forget what the other person told you. The auto 911 calling feature if you get into a crash the phone will call the police and let you know that you need help without your having to say a word. This phone is packed to the brim with amazing features and I love it.

They also give you free access to their VPN and YouTube premium for 3 months. Amazing value for the money.

And last but not least the camera quality is fantastic. I be taking pictures of everything and everything comes out crystal clear. 50mp, HDR, high resolution pictures.

My only cons are. Please bring back the physical sims tray and expandable memory. This phone like them all nowadays comes with no charging brick or headphone jack. And if you use the IR blaster you won't find it here. I don't use it but wanted to warn others incase you do.

This is my 4th Pixel phone (2XL, 6XL & 8). The only reason I upgraded was that my P8 got "fried" while traveling in Europe. Apparently, my adaptor didn't mitigate the higher voltage as advertised. Anyway, I've only had the 10 Pro for 3 weeks and am pleased so far. There are several new features, one of which is the continued refinement of its great camera. The 100x zoom is a great feature and the clarity is incredibly sharp at 50x. Still getting used to the facial recognition feature but it has come in handy because the fingerprint unlock is extremely finicky. While I do have the screen protector applied, sometimes it is almost impossible to unlock while other times I barely have to touch the screen. The AI assistance for Google search and other apps is nice but, again, I haven't fully explored all the features. Perhaps I'll re-review again in 6 months and determine if it deserves a 5 star

Upgraded from a Pixel Pro Plus. I had no desire to upgrade my phone because I figured not a whole lot has changed with the flagships, but my old phone was getting extremely glitchy (and it has a VERY hard three years of life travelling in my pocket) so I bit the bullet. I initially got Pixel 9a which was comparable to my 7 Pro Plus, except the camera zoom was not sufficient for my needs, so I returned it and got this 10 Pro. Holy moly, this thing is incredible. As I said, I didn't think there would be much differencene between this and my 7 Pro Plus, but I was wrong. This thing is so snappy, so smooth, the screen is incredible, and the camera is fantastic. It's a joy to use, and I don't even like phones or screens in general (I try to spend as much time as possible outside and away from the world of screens). Got it for $799 on sale from Amazon, 100% worth it. Love the color and how parts of the phone are visible through the Otter Box case. Amazing work by Google and I look forward to their future flagships.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is a fantastic phone for the Android enthusiast, offering a pure software experience, groundbreaking AI features, and a truly stunning design. While it has established itself as the king of Android software support, be warned: its Achilles' heel is the battery life.

Design and Build Quality: Solidly Premium
From the moment you pick it up, the Pixel 10 Pro XL feels like a premium device. The construction is very good—solid and beautiful. Its design, particularly the iconic camera bar, is more visually appealing than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This phone looks and feels like the high-end device it is.

    Software and Longevity: Unmatched Commitment
Choosing the Pixel means embracing the best version of Android, free from unnecessary clutter. The phone runs on a clean, snappy version of the OS with absolutely no bloatware. Furthermore, Google has made a monumental promise for the future: this phone comes with an industry-leading 7-year commitment to OS and security updates. If longevity is a priority, no other major phone can currently compete.

The Pixel Experience: Seamless Transition and Unique AI
Transferring from my previous Pixel was super smooth and easy, making the setup process painless. Once you're up and running, the true magic of the Pixel shines through its AI features that you simply can't find in other phones. These smart, seamlessly integrated tools (like advanced photo editing and on-the-fly translation) truly elevate the day-to-day user experience.

My decision to choose Android was also rooted in practicality. I appreciate the open nature of the ecosystem, which avoids the "containment model" of the iPhone. Copying files to and from my Windows PC is quick and hassle-free, a huge advantage over Apple’s more restrictive system. I chose Pixel over Samsung specifically to avoid bloatware, even though I genuinely enjoy Samsung DeX.

    Camera Performance: Consistently Excellent
As expected from a Pixel, the camera is excellent, overall. It continues Google’s tradition of delivering phenomenal computational photography, capturing sharp detail and accurate colors in nearly any lighting condition. It's easily one of the best point-and-shoot experiences available.

The Major Caveat: Poor Battery Life
Unfortunately, the outstanding features are weighed down by the bad battery life. This is the phone's single most disappointing aspect. Despite taking extreme measures to conserve power, the battery life is subpar. Even with:

    Non-essential background apps disabled.

Cellular data turned off (using Wi-Fi only at home).

    Battery Saver mode enabled.

The phone still drains about 25-30% of its battery in just 24 hours while idling. For a flagship phone, this level of standby drain is unacceptable. It means you are constantly worrying about finding a charger.

    Final Verdict:
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is a flagship with brilliant potential, offering a superior software commitment, a beautiful build, and exclusive AI features. However, the battery performance demands a significant compromise. If you value all-day, worry-free battery life, then please go with another phone. This device is best suited for those who prioritize the pure, smart Android experience and the 7-year software guarantee, and are always near a charging source.

I'm a fan of the base Pixel phones, and this time I went with the Pro version - I didn't miss a beat.

The phone feels very premium, and its performance for day-to-day tasks is lightning fast.

I upgraded from the base Pixel 8 version. Someone might say it isn't a drastic improvement, and they might be right, but I still very much like the upgrade. It brings all the great Google services with the addition of the AI assistant, making them even better. Yes, I'm biased, but I'm thoroughly enjoying using the phone.

I got my 10 Pro XL on the 1st, 3 days ago. Before, I had the Pixel 6a, and this phone has no comparison to my old phone. Now I know this phone isn't perfect that's why I'm putting 4 stars. So with that said let's talk pros and cons.

    So the cons:
    1. The 5G WiFi card. Whenever I'm connected to a 5G WiFi it's like I have airplane mode on and pages take ages to load. 2.4G works crazy good tho.
    2. Just kidding I only have 1 con.

    Let's talk pros:
    1. Battery, this battery is insane compared to my 6a. I got home with was playing on my phone for about 3hrs now and only went from 91% to 64%. The games I was playing we're a little intense and phone only got a little warm but not hot.

    2. Lock screen: I currently have 2 fingerprints sent up and face recognition for work because I wear gloves. Despite the bad things I've heard about the face recognition I would have to disagree with those statements. Face recognition works really well with me and I love it. The fingerprints work great as well where my old phone had a hard time recognizing my fingers and consistency declined my finger but this phone there's no comparison and works crazy good.
    3. Speed, of course this isn't a Samsung and the phone wasn't built for high CPU speed but despite that the phone's CPU works crazy good and you don't really need a faster phone anyways.
    4. Display, the display is amazing and the colors and sharpness of everything is just so smooth I love it.
    5. The camera, I am so impressed with this camera. If you're a creator then this phone is for you. The AI with the 12MP camera is just so powerful even tho some photos can come out odd after the AI enhancements are done.

    Some Q&As
Is the phone worth it's value? I think so, with all the features and the years of guarantee updates just sounds so good to me. With all the pros as well makes this phone to me worth the price I paid.

How's the feel? It's new for me having a taller phone and with round edges like an iPhone but with all of that I think I really like the feel of the phone, the looks as well.

Features: Dude, I don't know where to start here. Magic cue, Gemini, merged emojis, and a crazy amount more features makes this phone fun and entertaining to use. If you get this phone and say it's boring then you're just not using the features correctly lol.

My First Week with the Pixel 10 Pro: It's Scarily Smart

Alright, so I’ve had the new Pixel 10 Pro for about a week now, and I’ve finally gathered my thoughts. Let me just say, this thing feels less like a phone and more like some gadget from a sci-fi movie.
First off, taking it out of the box, it just feels premium. It has a nice weight to it—not too heavy, but it feels solid and well-built. The matte finish on the back is a lifesaver for someone like me who hates fingerprints. The screen is the real star, though. It’s a big 6.7-inch display, and everything just looks incredible on it. Scrolling is buttery smooth, and watching videos is a treat. It’s super bright too, so I had no trouble seeing it outside, even in the afternoon sun.
But let's be real, you buy a Pixel for the camera, and this one is just insane. I took it out over the weekend, and I’m blown away. The main camera takes ridiculously sharp and colorful photos without you having to do anything. But the feature I can't stop playing with is the "Pro Res Zoom." I was at a park and saw a cool bird way up in a tree. Normally, that would just be a blurry mess on my old phone. With this, I zoomed all the way in, and the photo is actually sharp enough to see the details on its feathers. It feels like magic.
Google's AI stuff is all over this phone. They have this new feature called "Magic Cue" that tries to guess what you need. At first, it was a little weird, but now I’m getting used to it. Like, when I was heading to a meeting, it popped up a notification with the address and traffic info without me even asking. Another fun one is "Nano Banana"—silly name, I know—but it's this cool photo effect tool that lets you create some really artistic shots. Some of the results are a bit out there, but it's genuinely fun to mess around with.
Performance-wise, it's a beast. The new Tensor G5 chip makes everything feel instant. Apps open right away, and I haven't seen a single stutter, even when I'm jumping between a bunch of different apps. The battery life has been solid too. I'm a pretty heavy user—lots of photos, social media, and some videos—and I've been easily getting through a full day with some juice to spare.
So, is it worth it? It’s definitely not cheap, but if you're someone who loves taking pictures and wants a phone that feels like it’s one step ahead of you, I'd say absolutely. The Pixel 10 Pro isn't just a phone with a great camera; it’s a genuinely smart device that makes everyday tasks a little bit easier and a lot more fun. I'm still discovering new things it can do, and I'm honestly excited to see what else I find

Fantastic phone! Screen is bright and very smooth feeling while using even in the brightest conditions outside. I often times have to turn down the brightness and hopefully the adaptive brightness learns my habits and can adjust without my intervention eventually.

Battery life was my only concern but on average it lasts all day even with 5G connectivity turned on (something my Pixel 6 Pro was unable to do reliably). Only time I make sure I have a portable charger with me is when I go to a concert or somewhere I know I'm going to be using it pretty heavily. Coming from the Pixel 6 Pro, the heat under heavy load is also WAY better. It's everything you love about Pixel but just a bit more upgraded.

For the U.S. version of all Pixel 10 phones, there is no SIM card slot -- you must activate an eSIM.

I was able to switch from my old Pixel 6 Pro (on T-Mobile) to a new Pixel 10 Pro XL without going to a T-Mobile store. Here's what I learned:

    1) Both phones should have at least 50% charge. Good to also have your old phone's files backed up on Google/Android (System > Backup).

    2) Log into T-Mobile's website and make sure your old phone has its SIM card unlocked! (Required to move to the eSIM on the U.S. Pixel 10 phones.)

    3) While on T-Mobile's website, go to:
Tutorials > Google > Pixel 10 > eSIM > How to swap SIMs from an old device to a new device
(T-Mobile also has instructions for migrating to a Pixel 10 from other android phones that are using T-Mobile.)

    4) Follow the instructions step by step. (I selected a full copy of everything, and it took about 40 minutes.) TIP: even if you start the migration using Wi-Fi, you can link the old and new phones with a USB-C cable for faster file transfer.

For me, I forgot to unlock the SIM on my old phone, so Android's transfer software caught that and I then unlocked the SIM card via T-Moble's website -- but that may have caused problems downstream.

For me, the transfer hung around 94% complete and showed that Text Messages weren't transferred. So I eventually gave up. An hour or two later T-Mobile magically activated the eSIM on the new phone and deactivated the old SIM card -- and all of my Text messages + Text photos (SMS and MMS) arrived on the new phone.
    ----------------
As for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, I'm not crazy about the rounded corners or all the "AI-knows-best", but Settings gives you great control of your phone and it's a nice improvement over my old Pixel 6 Pro. Read the reviews to find out if Pixel 10 is something for you.

Camera oddity: yes, it's a 48 megapixel main camera sensor, but the photos you get are only 12 megapixel. That's because the software combines multiple pixels to improve images and handle low light. Currently, only the Pixel 10 Pro XL allows you to skip the image enhancement and get all 48 megapixels in a photo. So that's the tradeoff: lots of pixels from a very small sensor, or improved latitude + noise and better night vision. I'm into photography, so personally I'll probably go for beautiful 12 megapixel RAW images, then upscale in post if I need it.
