   Works very well BUT Bosch should include written instructions with the product. And the instructions should be clearer and easier to understand than what they provide after you scan the code on the packaging. Once navigating through the instructions, the product works very well.

   Received it on time as expected! Opened it, received item with batteries included…placed batteries and it didn’t work. I freaked out a little, then found my own batteries (2) AAA and it worked. I just received discharged batteries :(. At least it works!

   I bought this for a science lab experiment. I was hoping to measure how far students could throw little foam gliders at different energy levels. I first tried outside, but with the direct sun, it was not bright enough to see the red dot at any distance. Then we went inside. As long as we stayed away from the sun reflecting off of the floor, it worked pretty well. There were a few errors, but I kept at it and it eventually provided a distance. It was a fun lab. The students enjoyed it.

   pretty good overall. I bought a cheapo random brand one a long time ago which broke pretty quickly. I wanted to buy a more reputable brand one this go around and overall, I am happy with it.
   
   I wish it could change from doing a feet/in measurement to just all inches. It would definitely make it a bit easier instead of having to do the conversions separately. I do also wish it would tell you if it's rounding up or down too. Otherwise, this device is solid. I used this to measure my windows for an interior shade mount install. made the process so much easier and all the shades fit like a glove.

   I used a tape measure measuring out 30 inches and put the device against the tape measure. In the photo, there is 0.02 of an inch difference. That's a pretty good margin of error. I like the device but it didn't come with an instruction manual. You have to find the manual on their website. It's pretty easy to figure out though.

   Appears to be fairly accurate though it disagrees with tape measurement by about 1/8th inch...not sure which is correct. Used to measure height and width of porch screens before ordering Coolaroo shades. Laser is bright enough to see in bright sunlight. Flexible measurement feet, inches,centimeters.

   I got this to measure room dimensions.
   It would have been great but it was a few inches off. I could not find a calibration routine and perhaps I got a defective unit.
   
   I had to use a tape and was done with my need so returned it.
   
   Seeing good reviews and this being a reliable brand I think they usually are accurate and I didnt have time to wait to exchange it. I have laser lavels and other accurate time saving tools and am giving it a good rating as I had no time to troubleshoot with Bosch.

   Bought it because of the rave review, but not really that great for extensive measurements.

   1- It is not great for use beyond 60 ft on rough/dark (low-albedo) surfaces. The measurements fluctuated a lot.
   2- Especially on dark surfaces that tilt >45-degree - that is the laser beam incident angle is more than 45 degree from the normal, the measurements were unreliable. The reason is that the back-scattered light was insufficient.
   3- It doesn't have any leveling bubble. The bottom contact is too small to ensure the laser beam is square (normal) to the rest surface.
   4- The lack of data storage and bluetooth data transfer capability makes it less convenient compared to competing devices for surveying jobs that require many measurement entries.
   
   In summary, it might be a good device for less than 50 ft and simple measurements. I used the triangulation surveying method (like GPS) which requires a lot of measurements, and it is just too inconvenient to use paper and pencil to write down 100's of data points. So, for a few quick, simple measurements, it might get 5 stars, but for distanced, systematic and extensive surveying measurements, it is 3 stars - compared to more advanced devices with data storage, transfer, and even built-in functions. Average: 4 stars.
