gotomart is an international online store focused on delivering quality products for everyday living. We carefully select practical, reliable items and ship them directly to customers worldwide.
I would complain about lack of external storage if that were a feature offered by anyone these days, but 512GB is pretty good, especially when you have OP connect to offload large files easily.
I almost forgot - battery life is stupid good. 6pm after a full day of standard use and I'm at 88% while writing. I've never dropped below 50% in a day, maybe even 60 or 70 (but I would certainly notice 50). AND IT COMES WITH A FAST CHARGER AS ALL NEW PHONES, ESPECIALLY $1k+ SMARTPHONES SHOULD. Huge win to not only ship a charger, but a turbocharger that gets you from 70% to 100% in like 5 minutes.
I've never noticed heat coming from this phone. Haven't tested the durability apart from standard use, but I have gotten it wet and it still detected my touches without getting confused by the drops on the screen.
I can't say enough good things about this phone. If you want to get the most bang from your buck, this is your phone. If you want to make people who spent $1200 on a Galaxy Ultra Plus jealous, this is your phone. If you want overpayment and underperformance, look elsewhere.
OP ostensibly stands for "OnePlus," but gamers know it stands for "Overpowered," which is exactly what this phone is. Get it before the mods notice and Nerf it!
I am coming over from a google pixel 8 pro phone and considered the pixel 10 pro xl phone but kept OnePlus in mind. I've used a family members pixel 10 pro xl and something just felt clunky and not smooth so I figured I would try something different.
I am so happy that I made the leap and gave this phone it's honest shot that it deserves. First impressions were of course the absolutely beautiful screen that gets brighter then anything I've seen before and for someone who uses my phone outdoors quite a bit this is a plus.
The battery in this phone is absolutely amazing. Let me say I use my phone constantly and am usually on a WhatsApp call for 13 straight hours and this phones battery will go from 100 percent down to 47. Doing this with my pixel I'd have to charge in half the time and even with the family members pixel 10 pro xl it would need a charge as well. I was fascinated that when I do charge the phone it is always fully charged in less than an hour even from as low as 7 percent battery left.
The performance of this phone is outstanding as I have thrown everything at it that I could and it never has shown any hints at stuttering or slowdown from some of the most demanding games on the play store.
The camera does take some great pictures even though they may be oversaturated by some people standards. It however does not bother me as they are crisp enough and beautiful to me and definitely blows my pixel out of the water in picture quality.
I am very thankful for switching to this phone and if you are on the fence I suggest you give it a try. I'll post some pictures I took while on vacation last week so you can see the picture quality.
Edit
A month of ownership with this phone and I am still not regretting my purchase. I have not had any issues at all and I've thrown a lot at this phone from Bluetooth calling to constant android auto use to playing games. This phone deserves respect.
This phone was pretty easy to learn andis significantly better than the current iPhone experience. It is fast and has so many great features. Battery life is exceptional and charges ridiculously fast. So many options for the display. A great overall feel and robust performance. Camera is better than what people are saying. It's a different beast entirely. I like it better than the Samsung I had tried briefly. If you are thinking about making the switch do it! My only complaint is that the volume button is on stage right
She has been loving joining the OnePlus family (we got her y'all!!)
No one is going to make a small phone which was her original deal breaker, so after she realized that, I made sure to get her something that was first and foremost, water resistant (she's a gardener or sometimes drops crumbs or sauce on her phone) and had all the other modern bells and whistles (5G support, good calling quality, a great camera, a great screen, resistant glass, modern hardware so that it's fast/smooth for watching all the YouTube, etc.)
She loves that she can really specifically customize the theme to her liking as well, wallpaper, clock, text color, etc. which I know is more of a OnePlus feature, but is an added plus for her.
Ultimately, I hope it can last as long as her old phone (and hopefully my OnePlus can experience the same longevity), but it's been great the last few months.
The OS is smooth. Like silk. Very intuitive for an android user.
The screen is phenomenal. Set it to 4k and compare it to your old phone. If you have an eye for graphics, you will see a huge difference.
It's fast. Very fast. The processor allows me to edit raw photos with no lag at all. Game play, same no lag.
The coverage with Verizon, I have been noting that the service is back up to where it was prior to my pixel pro 7. This means I have better service in so many places. The call quality is vastly superior to my old pixel and my Samsung work phone. I am told that it filters out my idiot dog barking and all other background noise, while keeping the voice clear.
My Fitbit versa4 paired with no problems whatsoever.
The battery life is excellent as well.
Honestly I can't say enough good things here.
I'm sending it back for a single reason. I underwent heart surgery recently, receiving a Medtronic pacemaker. This phone is incompatible with this pacemaker. Typically, it sends information regarding my pacemaker's effect on my heart, which is critical to my survival. My phone is required to be compatible with this pacemaker; alternatives are unacceptable.
If future updates enable Medtronic and OnePlus compatibility, I'd probably buy a OnePlus then. Its use with my pacemaker is crucial, and I'm very disappointed I can't use it.
Having owned a OnePlus 12r, and just Android phones since 2013 (Droid Maxx being my first) . This is the phone for tech people and just anyone in general. Checklist of what I like and don't like below.
Likes
-Beautiful 6.8 screen that can have a fixed 120hz refresh rate, color reproduction on the OLED screen is top notch with plenty of customization options in terms of accuracy. Has Ceramic shield for durability.
-I love the aquatouch, I have used it in the steam room or when working out and I can actually decently type with the screen wet. (IP 69 ensures I can use in high temp Sauna without issue)
-Oxygen OS I love the layout and customization I love the global search at the bottom of the icons yes it reeks iPhone but I like the feature
-Battery life is outstanding although on par with the 12r, quick charging as well.
-Love the included charging brick which both Samsung and Apple no longer include.
-Camera is probably the best oneplus has ever done. Hasselblad partnership has helped OnePlus up their game.
-Snap Dragon Elite processor, is just top notch performing if you want to do gaming this phone will do it without issue.
-Always on screen is customizable and fantastic.
- IP68/69 rating highest possible for Water resistance.
-Speakers are good, produces great sound via bluetooth with customizable profiles.
-Less AI
What I do not like or other may not possibly like
-Oxygen OS includes dual apps like for photos and you will get a feeling the app is trying to fuse some of ios features into it like a dynamic island clone I like them myself but this will not be a Pixel Like stock Android.
-If you are expecting tons on AI integration like the Pixel series, this is not it, while there is Gemini and magic eraser some of the more baked in AI you see with Samsung or Pixel is not here I like that others may not.
-You cannot get this phone through carriers for financing, but hey Amazon has financing options.
-While I am not a Camera guru or enthusiast, the Cameras while they are solid are not on par with the latest Pixel or iPhone very close but not there yet.
-This will not receive as much updates as the Pixel, Samsung or iPhone.
In closing to me this is the best phone you can buy, the performance and the quality is on par with the best but on average costs less. I do not like Samsungs take on Android but other might, I hope my review helps those that are on the fence.
